Take the river and put dirt paths or if u have stone paths unlocked use them - put them over half the river in the middle make sure u extend the dirt pieces a little beyond the river section. Then take another section of river and put it on top it will glow green if its still red go add some more dirt on the river below. Also when removing dirt/stones sometimes have to hide the river to get to the dirt/stone

I'm doing it now, it's fiddly but it's working ok. You have to keep moving the dirt each time, don't just put another river corner on top eventhough you can still see the dirt from you rlast placement.

I had the same issue and then realized hours later that you have to pick the correct river end piece to make it work..that one is the only one that gives it that deep level look

I'm finding the same problem today - 9/19/09. I can no longer lay dirt over anything.
I cannot place anything over anything else. I have a dirt bridge but cannot move the lamp posts over them anymore!
Did slashkey eliminate this ability?

Appreciate any feedback available!

it works just have to get the dirt paths right to set the water down on and then hide the water and delete the dirt. Some times i had to leave the farm and come back. I have been very frustrated with this too, but did finally get my water fall down. good luck

Yes it still works. Some water pieces allow the water piece to fall or slip underneath the edge. This occurs mainly at what seems to be the anchor of the piece. What I call the anchor is the square that shows up as a red outline when the piece is hidden. To avoid this try laying the dirt path on the grass side first and overlapping the second dirt path halfway up the first dirt path. Then do the same with the third. This technique requires 3 dirt paths on each side, so don't forget to count how many went down and how many you recover. Pieces you leave are not visible to you when you are on your farm, but everybody else can see them.

My farm is all jacked up at the moment as I am redoing it with a lazy river running thru it. but if you can find it you are welcome to stop by any time.
